The cellular companies in Pakistan are really hungry for money and each and every day these are just planing to earn money by one or an other way. In a similar context Telenor have recently launched a service called Telenor TeleDoctor which will charge Rs. 8 + tax/minute. for dialing a number 1911. Interestingly this 1911 is a mimicking number to world famous rescue number 911 in many advance countries including USA. On their website it is clearly written that
This service is designed for the subscribers solely for the purpose of providing easy access to doctors in order to obtain secondary medical advice if and when possible. Telenor neither gives secondary medical advice directly nor engages in the practice of medicine. In all cases Telenor is not accountable for the malpractices, genuineness or authenticity of the advice/information given through this service or for the credentials of the medical experts giving the information/advice and Telenor shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused to any subscriber or any other party as a result thereof.
This clearly indicate that telnor by itself have no experience in secondary and or primary medical advice and is neither responsible for any advice given by the doctors on their so called teledoctor helpline.
This is just a question if they are earning money out of this service then why not accepting a responsibbility of the quality of the service offered by their advisor’s?
Recently a new brand ZONG (formally known as Paktel now owned by china mobile) have been introduced in Pakistan. There had been a massive positiver response by the public clearly indicating that they are fed up with the quality of service already offered by the Mobilink, Ufone, Telnor and Warid telecoms
